ARDALAN DADASHBEYKI | Expressing emotions through a dark theme photography

In my first year of photography, I decided to focus more on documentary photography, so it became a common approach to photograph almost everything, wherever I go. At the time, most of my photos had a dark theme to express my inner feelings, and it raised a question of why my need was to use a dark theme in my shooting.
Later, as I expanded my photography studies, I understood that the excessive use of black and white through the photographs is for containing and expressing emotions that come in a flashy way, and in the process, to manage and accept the emotions.
Later on, my photography style took a completely different shape, a new direction, and changed a lot in each period according to my mood and feelings.

In my opinion, the documentary photography field is one of the most important genres for featuring the human condition.
It symbolizes the transition of sensation; whereas art is generally considered a sense-based field, meaningful form is the secret that lies within art, making it feel like an adventure.
