Lens Magazine ♛ December Edition #134. 2025 Final Edition. The GOOD, BAD and Ugly
The latest magazine of 2025 paints a bleak picture of the world we live in. Governments that control citizens and pass laws that violate basic human rights, pollution and piles of garbage covering our beautiful world, and a growing gap between the rich and the people who try to live in peace and basic dignity.
Alexandra Buxbaum exhibits her latest coverage of the Broadview’s Stand- The facility drew weekly protests against the Operation Midway Blitz, a federal crackdown on undocumented immigrants in Chicago that quickly expanded across Illinois and into Lake County, Indiana.
Holger Hoffmann is presenting two outstanding projects: Waste Mismanagement – Dystopia or Reality? and Norilsk: Stopover in Russia’s Most Polluted City. Both series criticize heavy air pollution and disrespect for nature and the Earth. James T. Gunderson exhibits his unique project, Fire and Fog, which covers the aftermath of the 2025 Palisades Fires. Josef Buergi features The Raw Spectacle Ranch Rodeo in the USA. Lilyan Aloma exhibits her beautiful black-and-white project “Commuting,” which explores her regular travel on the Long Island Railroad, fulfilling her role as caregiver while her mother descends into dementia. She found herself traveling regularly on the Long Island Railroad, fulfilling her role as caregiver.
Steff Gruber is presenting two fantastic projects: The Narikuravar people of Tamil Nadu (2024) and the Railway Community (2022), both of which shed light on the sad situation of low-income societies.
JM Simpson presents his series, The Humanity of the Moment, which focuses on homeless individuals and their unfortunate circumstances. And Zellen J Chill features a fantastic artistic documentary project, “Bordelle & Zellen” of prison cells.
Enjoy!
