Anja Diabaté | Vision

“My series Vision stands for the development of our being.
The desire for complete freedom in love and respect.
I favor us constantly reinventing ourselves and acting out this, multi-faceted, colorful, and self-determined. Art is free and makes the invisible visible, the total fulfillment.”

My photographic version stands for the freedom of art. It marks my work. Through this, fantasies arise, which are spread out and become part of the story. Art is free. This also means that I don’t block myself, to give me full freedom to express myself through my art. I love what I am doing, and it gives me a lot of satisfaction.
Feelings are the key to my photography work. No matter which feeling, if one is involved, the picture turns to life. It touches, and probably it makes the viewers think about it. The face is so full of facets, body language, expression of a silent language, and they both have massive power and an effect of expressing deepest feelings.
The possibility of telling stories, presenting topics that concern me, and highlighting them is significant. To put all this in series and in an artistic framework is the pinnacle of creation for me.

Anja Diabaté is an artist based in Hamburg, Germany. She uses Fine Art Photography to transform her concepts and ideas into unique artworks. Her strength and power are the transformations of her ideas and creativity into extremely expressive and soulful photos. Each of her photographs tells a unique story. Her aim is always to inspire the viewer
to get into depth and reflection.

Her highest self-requirement is to create multiple photos from a single original without ever losing the cohesion to the embedding series. Each artwork represents a definite concept and encourages the viewer to start to create his own story in his mind. Some of Anja’s series are self-portraits, and she takes the dual role of photographer and model. The ornate face paintings and makeup are all created and performed by Anja herself. Anja’s nature is to deeply dive into her creativity, create something completely new, and fully enjoy all this. It is the highest representation of herself.

For me, everything is really inspiring and sensory perception. I can explain it as another world. If you see it and allow it, it is filled with infinite things. Full of colors and shapes, light and shadow, soft and hard, happiness and sadness.
