Just Published! ♛ March 2026 Edition #135 The State Of Humanity
The State Of Humanity
In this unique March edition of Lens Magazine, The State of Humanity unfolds. It is a multifaceted visual and narrative exploration. The focus is on what it means to exist, connect, and endure in an increasingly complex world.
Through powerful interviews and photo projects, this issue features voices from many continents. Each offers a distinct, yet connected point of view on human experience.
We have the pleasure of featuring two fantastic interviews conducted by Ariel SU. One is an intimate conversation with Ingmar Ostermaier, who is exhibiting his important documentary project “Nigeria- Distance to care.” This series was taken at a rural hospital in Nigeria. The other is an exclusive interview with Indonesia-based documentary journalist Garry Lotulung. He offers urgent reflections on environmental responsibility and global waste.
The journey continues through deeply personal and cultural visual essays. William Ropp presents an evocative study of the body and identity. Gabi Steiner presents a poetic project titled “The Poetry of Dust and Horn.” Alexandros Emmanouilidis explores the fragile nature of remembrance. Stories of heritage and resilience emerge in Michel Pedrero’s documentation of the “Larim” tribe and a collection of cultural beauty across Ethiopia, Papua, and Benin. Sayan Biswas, Gianni Alessi, and Muhammad Farhan Osman each capture threads of everyday humanity through color, ritual, and shared experience. Olivia Mazzola concludes the issue with her luminous projects La Danse des Lumières and The Age of Flowers. The issue gently returns to intimacy and emotion, reminding us that within the vast diversity of human stories lies a common language of light, vulnerability, and connection. Together, these works form a poignant and visually rich reflection on humanity in its many states—fragile, resilient, and profoundly interconnected.
