Memory is not an archive of facts; it is a landscape shaped by time.
Moments fade, merge, and transform, leaving behind fragments rather than complete stories. In black and white, the world loses the distraction of color and reveals something closer to how memory truly exists—soft, selective, and emotional.
This project explores the space between what happened and what remains.
Shadows stand in for forgotten details, light traces what we try to hold on to, and silence fills the gaps where certainty once lived.

Alexandros Emmanouilidis is a photographer based in Athens, Greece. He is recognized for exploring abstraction and form, often characterized by eroticism and inwardness. His work strives to capture not only what is seen, but also the invisible and metaphysical dimensions.
Through his photographs, he encourages viewers to achieve an emotional connection that transcends conventional constraints of space and time.
Each image is an autonomous universe, offering multiple narratives. The human element is always present, even if only as a suggestive imprint.
Emmanouilidis’ first solo exhibition, entitled RAW, took place in Athens in 2017. Since then, his work has been exhibited internationally, with highlights including the Estacao Expo in Portugal, SwissArt Expo and Urbanside Gallery in Zurich, Tana Art Space and Cipriarte Gallery in Venice, Boomer Gallery and Art Number 23 UK Gallery in London, Wynwood Art Hotspot in Miami, Nolita Artspace in New York, and several venues in Athens and Mykonos.
