My “Old Masters” project reflects my inspiration from past painters and artists (from the Renaissance till the early 20th century) and my feelings and thoughts.
In this project, I want to show the personality of each model as a part of unity. At the same time, I try to express emotions like sadness or strength, fear or pride, vulnerability or power, despair or hope in every image. I want people to see the images and feel, hoping it will help them open their hearts.

“My name is Sveta Butko, and I’m a self-taught professional child and family photographer based in Israel.
In late 2016, I gave up my architectural career despite spending many years studying for a Ph.D. and working as an architect. At that time, my son had to start treatment because he is a child with special needs, so we began horse riding therapy. From the first day of the therapy sessions, I realized a tender and unique bond between my child and animals and how remarkable was the change that it brought. We had a Canon camera at home, so I took it and started to capture this fantastic bond first to keep these memories for our family and then to show it to the world to inspire other parents of children with special needs and give them hope.
Soon, my images started to grab the attention of photographers worldwide, and photography schools began to ask me to give lectures and workshops. Since then, my professional photography career has started.
Now, I have my works published in local and international press, shown on book covers of bestselling authors, exhibited at local and international fairs, and featured in Vogue Italia and Canon Russia.
I’ve been invited to judge international photo contests and held more than 50 local and international workshops and lectures. I organized a charitable photo forum and participated in charity photography projects to raise awareness about special needs and diseases.
Photography has an incredible power and ability to change the world. Expressing tender, profound, innocent feelings can give people relief and hope.”

“People & Animals”

The project “People and Animals” reflects all my way as a photographer, as this idea brought me to the field. The idea is to show that despite our diversity, we all still belong to nature. Understanding and accepting this can relieve us and bring us to our roots. I aim to show the unique bond between people and animals that stands beyond our comprehension. At the same time, this bond shows the strength and vulnerability of love and life and their value. I hope my images will help people appreciate these values even more and not take them for granted.
