“In this featured project, I would like to reveal the human relationship with the space of ancient architecture and the tranquility that those structures convey to me brick by brick. I would like to show the lost calmness of humans in modernism. I desire to show the world why and how mankind has moved away from peace of mind. I try to transfer to the viewer the atmosphere and the mood of these unique architectures in Iran and several other locations I have traveled to lately.”

My name is Behnam Khoshbaten; I was Born in Ardebil, IRAN, in 1978.
I studied my pre-university education in Ardabil (the historical city in north-western Iran), then at Urmia University, where I started the arts field, and I see it as my primary profession.
From the early years of high school, I focused on understanding art and dealing with all kinds of mediums. During my university studies, I understood the importance of art to show whatever cannot be expressed by writing or other communication ways.

“Photography characterizes the beauties, beliefs, concerns, and even aspirations of human beings.”
– Behnam Khoshbaten

All kinds of inner feelings and ideas can be well expressed through art, and among them, the sincerity of visual art attracted me. So, with the need to express my inner, deep feelings, I started to study photography in 2017 and chose it as my main field.
As far as I consider it, photography characterizes the beauties, beliefs, concerns, and even aspirations of human beings. Therefore, I also tried to introduce this type of art by practicing different genres and styles.
